About Me

Hi, I’m Ava Bennett. Welcome to Glowing With Pride. I’m Ava Bennett, a professional chef, recipe developer, and lifelong believer that food is one of the most powerful ways we express love, identity, and joy.

This space was created from years of working in professional kitchens, countless late nights behind the line, and a deep desire to share food in a way that feels personal, proud, and purposeful. Cooking has never just been my career. It has been my language.

My Journey Into the Kitchen

I did not fall into cooking by accident. I chose it early and pursued it seriously. I trained in professional kitchens where discipline mattered, timing was everything, and consistency was non negotiable. Those early years shaped me.

I worked in fast paced restaurants where the energy was intense and the standards were high. I learned how to lead a prep team, manage service, balance flavors under pressure, and plate dishes with intention. I learned that great food is not just about ingredients. It is about precision, respect for technique, and pride in execution.

Over time, I moved from line cook to sous chef, eventually taking on menu development and kitchen leadership roles. I discovered that my greatest strength was not only cooking but creating. Building dishes from scratch, refining them, testing them again, and seeing people connect with them at the table became my favorite part of the job.

Why I Started Glowing With Pride

After years in restaurant kitchens, I realized something important. I loved the intensity of professional cooking, but I wanted to connect more directly with people.

Restaurants move quickly. Guests come and go. Plates are cleared. Moments pass.

I wanted to slow that down. I wanted to teach. I wanted to share the techniques I had learned in professional kitchens and translate them into something approachable for home cooks.

Glowing With Pride was born from that desire. This blog is where professional technique meets real life cooking. It is where I share the kind of recipes I would serve in a restaurant, but designed for your home kitchen.

My Cooking Philosophy

I believe in cooking with confidence.

I believe in understanding why a recipe works, not just following steps blindly. Technique matters. Heat control matters. Ingredient quality matters. But so does intuition.

You do not need a commercial kitchen to cook like a chef. You need knowledge, practice, and pride in what you are making.

At Glowing With Pride, you will find:

• Elevated comfort food
• Refined but approachable recipes
• Clear technique guidance
• Professional tips simplified for home kitchens
• Flavor combinations that feel thoughtful and balanced

Every recipe is tested thoroughly and written with clarity because I respect your time and your ingredients.

Professional Experience

My background includes years in full service restaurants, private dining events, and menu consulting. I have worked in kitchens where standards were uncompromising and quality was expected every single night.

Those experiences shaped how I approach food today. I develop recipes with the same care I would bring to a restaurant menu. I test for balance. I adjust seasoning precisely. I think about texture, presentation, and flow.

Professional cooking taught me discipline. Blogging taught me connection. This space blends both.

Beyond the Kitchen

When I am not developing recipes or testing new techniques, I am usually exploring farmers markets, studying seasonal ingredients, or refining dishes until they feel just right.

Food, to me, is pride. It is identity. It is creativity. It is generosity. It is the quiet confidence of serving something you made with your own hands.

That is what Glowing With Pride represents.

Let’s Cook With Intention

Whether you are here to improve your skills, try something new, or simply cook with more confidence, I am so glad you are here.

This blog is not about perfection. It is about growth. It is about showing up in your kitchen with purpose. It is about creating food you are proud to serve.

Welcome to Glowing With Pride. Let’s cook with skill, with heart, and with pride.
